Beautiful April Cornell Vintage - 90s does 20s Beaded Embroidered Appliqued Periwinkle and Pink Maxi Dress - Plus Size XL - Rayon Crepe

Lovely vintage 1990s April Cornell maxi dress with a gorgeous floral print of pinks, orchid and green on a periwinkle lavender-blue background, and clean, simple lines, plus exquisite appliqued floral embroidery at the front AND back neckline, accented with sparkling beads and sequins. This is the high quality, beautiful rayon crepe that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore--it's "old school" lasting quality that wears well, which is why collectors just love her vintage dresses! Beautifully made and in wonderful clean, fresh condition; very classic, timeless, beautiful and wearable vintage style, slips over the head with a soft simplicity and line that clings to the body. I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Though marked an XL, please go by the measurements below-- Vintage April Cornell dresses vary in sizing. This one is quite roomy, a classic shift style meant to fit comfortably and at least a little bit loosely, not snugly.
Bust: dress measures 44" pit to pit, I would say fits up to about 42" comfortably.
Hip: dress measures 48", fits up to about 46"
Length is approx 54" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger; a true maxi dress; the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36).

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress; it is freshly cleaned, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, just gorgeous and the beads/sequins are sparkly! Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag.
