Stunning Dramatic Antique Gothic Style - Vintage All-Handmade Battenburg Lace - FAB 1920's Art Deco "Spiderweb" Dress - Hollywood Glamour

This dress is just jaw-droppingly fabulous--if you want all eyes on you when you enter the room, this gorgeous gothic silent-film-star style beauty is your gown! Fantastic and very 1920s style vintage 1990s completely hand made, intricately hand-sewn Battenburg tape lace dress, size S/M---one of a kind and utterly fantastic in construction and style! Has some give and stretch so is adaptable to individual body types. This dress looks sooo 1920's flapper era and would be totally at home in one of Gloria Swanson's silent films....it's as gorgeous from the back as it is from the front--it's also about as vintage-goth-glam as one can get! Exquisitely hand made of Battenburg tape lace in an intricate spiderweb-ish pattern; such an exquisite, very detailed dress and also very comfortable to wear; is in excellent vintage condition, has never been worn, no damages of any kind. FABULOUSLY well made! The pink slip shown is NOT included, but you could change the look of this most versatile piece by the type and color of long slip you choose to wear underneath this fantastic gown, be it red, black, white---or be supremely daring and wear just a nude bodysuit! Add a jeweled headband, long gloves, feather boa & long black cigarette holder, and you're set for a fabulous Gatsby/1920s party! I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. There is NO SMOKING whatsoever in this establishment and never has been. Everything is very diligently inspected before it is shipped to you, carefully wrapped in new tissue, and I only ship in NEW USPS boxes, NOT flimsy bags or crammed into careless packaging (which seems to be widespread nowadays but I really hate to see when I'm the recipient!) I respect clothing and I ship it the way I would want it shipped to me.

No tags, but please go by the measurements below. Please read carefully:

Bust fully stretched measures 37", waist 34", hips 38"; wearer's measurements should be at least 1-2" smaller than these, therefore I would say it would fit a small, 6/8 perfectly.
Length is 54" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger although this will be a somewhat shorter measurement when on an actual body; however it is a floor length dress so if you are shorter than 5' 6" you would quite likely have to wear heels with some height with it. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); it fits the mannequin as shown beautifully, in fact I would say the mannequin is the perfect size for this. I think best for a 4/6, maybe an 8 if measurements fall within the range suggested above. Slips on over the head, no closures. Short cap sleeves.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress, it is in excellent, superb never worn condition, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, no missing threads. Just gorgeous! No tags, but is fine pure cotton/linen tape lace and should only be dry cleaned when needed. Underslip shown is NOT included.
