Fabulous Vintage Ralph Lauren Couture Metallic Gold Faux Leather Jacket - Plus Size Trench Coat - Ultra Glam - Classic 90s does 60s Mod

STUNNING and glamorous, beautifully made, gently worn vintage couture shimmery metallic gold belted jacket/coat by the one and only legendary American designer Ralph Lauren! Truly amazing construction and gorgeous fabric of metallic gold vinyl-coated denim---this jacket is simply SUPERB in every way--Reminds me very much of some 60s mod pieces I've seen; it's very "Bond Girl"! Absolutely looks just like and has the weight and characteristics of brilliant gold leather until you get up quite close and see that it's actually heavy denim. The styling is a classic trench with elements like Lauren signature gold buttons, flap pockets and a long belt that you can either wear passed through the buckle or just tie it--all wonderful Ralph Lauren quality details. Black lining and "Lauren Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren" is embroidered at the inside neckline (see photo) Marked 97% cotton and 3% elastane. Ralph Lauren is legendary for both his extraordinarily beautiful fabrics as well as meticulous, exquisite construction and design, and this jacket illustrates those qualities to perfection! The original price of this jacket was over $300 and it's HIGHLY collectible! It's also a great size, marked 2X and quite roomy and comfortable. Very good condition, gently worn and well cared for, the only issues I see on close examination are some slight, small rubs to the gold here and there, which are hardly visible and actually make it look even more like real leather! (They do not even show up in any of the photos.) I want to make it quite clear that this is NOT a "new with tags" piece, it has been pre owned and pre loved but is in very very nice shape nevertheless; the price reflects this accordingly.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new sturdy USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Marked a size 2X, measurements of this exquisite jacket are as follows:

Bust and hips measure approx. 44-45", and the jacket is 29" long. I would recommend this for sizes 12/14 and up (probably best for a 16 or so) it is too large for the size 6-8 mannequin.

Condition: Very good/excellent, gently worn vintage, the only issues are as mentioned above. No holes or tears. Beautiful fabric and soooo glamourous!
