IMPORTANT: This is the very first of the lavender colorway that I've created and therefore is immediately available for sale; after this one sells I will be offering it for a short time on custom order, so grab this one while you can! These pillows are not mass produced, they are all ONE OF A KIND, completely hand made, and each successive one may or may not vary a bit in the materials after this initial offering.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....Am now translating that love to my own contemporary creations and using all the fine extraordinary antique and vintage materials, laces, trims, beads etc that I've collected for more than 30 years in these wonderful pieces....along with the finest of hand sewing and one of a kind details. Everything I create is individually hand made solely by me and has the very best of my carefully hoarded private stash of superb old accents (I use ONLY vintage materials that are in pristine, freshly-cleaned condition---no deteriorating, too-aged or rotting pieces EVER) plus the finest of modern silks, cottons and wools that I can find.....resulting in a fabulous truly authentic vintage look piece. Impeccable professional workmanship and design are the hallmarks here...

This incredible piece was inspired by my love of antique fashions and decor as well as the pastel and cream color scheme of classic cottage/shabby chic...This exquisite totally handmade, sweetly heart shaped pillow is a nice dainty size and has several types of delicate detailed trims that I've handsewn on....the hand crocheted soft lilac lacy front features handmade ribbonwork rosette flowers & leaves and antique lace; in the center is a gorgeous vintage Valentine heart shaped print on fine cotton of a beautiful little girl surrounded by violets and holding a gray cat (which I've lightly accented with little pink glass beads)....she is surrounded by exquisite pale ivory and pink ribbonwork flowers and soft felted, hand embroidered and beaded blue ones; circling this centerpiece is some fab vintage ivory braid trim with the most delicate, tiny metallic threads woven into the design that gives the most refined little hint and glint of gold....dotting the entire outer border of the pillow are more of the ribbonwork ivory and pink flowers and blue beaded felt flowers, alternating around the pillow. The edge is finished with a wide, full ruffle of gorgeous antique lace in ivory, peeking out from under the lilac crocheted scalloped border. The base of the pillow is soft ivory silk and the back is gorgeous lavender, white and silver striped shimmery taffeta, which I custom tailored and created in a matching heart shape to fit exactly--it is firmly filled with a nicely plump batting. All elements of this pillow are very meticulously sewn; NO gluing whatsoever....all of the laces and added elements are HAND SEWN on to the pillow front, not done by machine--strictly old-school craftsmanship.

Measurements of this beauty: approx 15" in diameter across the widest point, which includes the 2" ruffle of antique lace all around.
