Vintage Style 1920s Autumn Exquisite Antique Silk Hand Embroidery Gatsby Art Deco Flapper Hat - Downton Abbey Cloche Hat - Antique Trims

Vintage 20's Art Deco Style GORGEOUS one of a kind burnt orange, pumpkin, ruby red, burgundy and glimmering metallic gold 1920s Flapper Cloche Hat---this cloche hat is made of very rich, crisp deep glowing pumpkin silk embroidered all over with a meandering leaf design in silk thread....this is augmented with an utterly fabulous wide band of the most intricate & exquisite HAND DONE antique embroidery, in deep pumpkin/russet silk hand embroidered all over with the tiniest, most delicate and elaborate geometric design of burgundy, burnt orange, olive and rose accented with tiny glimmering gold sequins...it must have taken hours upon hours of work just to embroider this piece; literally has to be seen to be believed! (be sure to look at the closeup pic of this phenomenal embroidery) The top and bottom of this magnificently embroidered band are bordered with vintage golden-ecru delicate trim and the brim is bound with the same trim and metallic binding---all with subtle glints of gold; on the side of the hat I hand appliqued a side ornament fashioned of a large embroidered silk stylized flower applique embellished with iridescent burgundy and olive crystal pleated ruffling and tiny golden sequins sprinkled here and there---matching the antique band perfectly! I was inspired to create this fabulous hat by the gorgeous vintage 20's silk satin Ralph Lauren dress I also have listed (see last photo--please check my other listings) Like all of my cloche hats, this one is exquisitely hand made from authentic 1920's patterns, all-natural-fiber fine materials and lavish antique trimmings....yet so wearable today....this one is simply divine for autumn and winter events and weddings. Utterly beautiful details everywhere you look: the colors and elements all harmonize so delightfully together, the delicate accents make this piece look extraordinarily vintage and ALL of the exterior decoration including the individual decorative elements, are painstakingly sewn on by hand, just as in the "old days".....I'm a stickler for primo "old school" workmanship! Fully lined.....SO perfect for a 1920's Deco style wedding or event. So perfect for someone who has undergone chemo too, as this is a very comfortable hat....I think everyone has the right to be BEAUTIFUL and this would be a great gift for someone who needs that little lift and to feel so pretty....! Also a great piece for anyone to wear to a vintage themed event or reenactment...this is as authentic and historically correct as it gets :-) Looks fabulous with the brim worn up or down, though I think it's best up to show off the antique trim.

Please make sure you carefully note proper head measurements: I've made this particular hat to fit a standard medium size, it measures approx. 23 3/4" inner circumference so I would say just up to a size 23" head could wear this, any larger than that and it would be too snug for real comfort, I have a 22.5 size head and this fits me perfectly....if you have a small head and your hair is flat, this might be somewhat loose on you.....mannequin has a 22" head but very fluffy hair, so do keep that in mind. PLEASE NOTE that these hats are NOT adjustable or alterable so please do know your exact requirement before purchasing as there are no refunds or returns. Good idea to take your head measurement first--tape measure crossed over the forehead and just above the ears around to the largest part of the head--before purchasing. The 1920's cloche is meant to be a close fitting hat and hairstyle should kept to a minimum for the proper look....... Half an inch in headsize CAN make a difference so please, make sure you have exact size requirements in hand before you buy. If there is a specific size requirement you're looking for do let me know, and I will keep that in mind when creating future styles.....I don't do custom work or alterations, sorry!
