Breathtaking Vintage 1920s-30s Inspired Ralph Lauren Autumn Print Silk Satin Deco Flapper Dress - Green Label Couture - 90s does 20s

SO FANTASTIC and vintage new without tags 100% silk satin intricately designed 1920s Art Deco style dress by the one and only Ralph Lauren, in a truly breathtaking, warm and vivid fall print of reds, oranges, rose and brown on soft pale gold pure silk satin. Just INCREDIBLY beautiful and the fabric is to die for--- Ralph Lauren is legendary for both his magnificent fabrics as well as meticulous, exquisite couture construction and design, and this dress illustrates those qualities to perfection! Vintage mint condition, never worn. The dress is gorgeously tailored in a true 1920s-30s silhouette, with a deep-V neck, bias-cut close fitting bodice extending below the hip, where it is intricately pieced in many diagonal insets and godets to form a super full, flaring handkerchief hem falling in points! One of the most beautifully and masterfully patterned and constructed contemporary dresses that I've ever seen, in fact I was so inspired by it that I also created some fabulous Art Deco silk cloches to coordinate with it, shown in the photos/last photos (please see my other listings, hats are not included with this listing) Invisible side zipper so that there is a smooth unbroken line in both the front and back; fully lined in soft gold taffeta. Fantastic twirly skirt! This would be wonderful to wear to a fall wedding or other Deco themed event as it's just SO true-vintage looking in fabric, cut and design.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Measurements of this wonderful dress are as follows (marked a size 8) ---the measurements are approximate because this is cut on the bias. This dress is best for a 6/8, no larger; mannequin is 36"-26"-36". Body measurements of the wearer should be at least 1"-2" smaller than these:

Waist 33"
Hips 38"
Length: 52" from the shoulder to the tips/ends of the longest points (hem is "handkerchief" style so is shorter/longer throughout)
Condition: New without tags, no stains, spots or rips/holes, clean, I cannot find any issues anywhere. Beautiful fabric! Green Ralph Lauren label, marked size 8.
