I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....Am now translating that love to my own contemporary creations and using all the fine extraordinary antique and vintage materials, laces, trims, beads etc that I've collected for more than 30 years in these wonderful pieces....along with the finest of hand sewing and one of a kind details. Everything I create is individually hand made solely by me and has the very best of my carefully hoarded private stash of superb old accents (I use ONLY vintage materials that are in pristine, freshly-cleaned condition---no deteriorating, too-aged or rotting pieces EVER) plus the finest of modern silks, cottons and wools that I can find.....resulting in a fabulous truly authentic vintage look piece. Impeccable professional workmanship and design are the hallmarks here...

This incredible piece was inspired by my lifelong love and study of Ancient Egypt, its designs and decor...This exquisite handbag is a nice large size to accommodate every essential...the purse itself is made of very rich materials: the body of the bag is a very rare, out of print and expensive fabric called "Valley of the Kings" featuring intricate ancient Egyptian lotus designs in soft blues and shimmering metallic gold; the front panel features blue and very shimmery gold foiled striped linen fabric that I hand dyed to match--this fabric is "weathered" a bit on the gold stripes to look old....just fantastic and so in keeping with the ancient Egyptian color scheme and style. The bag features black piping outlining and highlighting the various panels, as well as anchors and straps of black vinyl sparked with flecks of gold glitter. The front center panel has a wonderful, large round vintage brass ornament/plaque from the 1930's of an Egyptian goddess which is double-riveted into place, and the straps also feature matching rivets in shiny gold tone. The bottom of the bag is extra reinforced black/gold flecked vinyl with six gold tone purse feet. I've placed four amazingly detailed antique brass Pharaoh head ornaments on the bag, two at the bottom front sides and two on the back anchor connectors. Has an inset heavy duty brass zipper with a long handmade zipper pull of vintage Murano glass and a little brass Pharaoh head! (see all photos) Fully lined in custom dyed blue and metallic gold cotton; this is a very sturdy and well reinforced bag.

Measurements of this beauty are: 11" high by 14" wide by 3" to 4" depth, tapering from top down to bottom. Straps are both 23" long.
